German Front Line Troops Ration Box

The Wehrmachy issued its own "K Ration"

It was a thin cardboard box with Nur Fur Frontkampfer in Infanterieverband printed in red on the top lid. which says (Only For Front Line Infantry Troops).

Overall dimensions were roughly 5-1/8" x 4-1/2" x 1-1/2"

So what goes in the ration box?

Contents of this box varied due to manufacturer and supply

However you should always put the core items in first then add the extra 1-3 items depending on room in the box and your preference.

The core items include -

Chocolate bar

Fruit Bar

Cylinder of Orange Candy

2 x Caremels

6 x Biscuits

6 Cigarettes

Various Items include -

Coffee, Tea , Sugar, Salt

Cheese

Soup

Matches

Milk

There other items but you get the general idea.

So I have all the core items below excep Cylinder of Orange Candy which I substituted with Bon Bons.

Lets start packing it shall we?

I have left the cigarettes last to put in due to I want to put a couple of various items in first.

So lets look at some various items I have.

So I have decided to go with Black Coffee and Tomato Soup.

And the cigarettes go in last and that is my rations ready to go.

There are many options you can add with it but its important to get as many as you can of those core items first.
